Use it in the family room for a family arts and craft space and board game space. And paint it in a cool and whimsical color. Have the kids help paint the table and use stencils or freehand designs. Buy one or two of those shoe storage bags that hang on the back of the door. Hang them on your wall instead and use the pockets to store pencils, crayons, brushes, paints and other craft supplies for projects.
Spend an evening doing family art projects and put the up on the walls. Get a theme going and have some colorful fun. Get those kids involved so it's really their room. Let the creative juices flow.
